The traditional technologies of label printing

Label is normally used for marking, classifying, advertising, etc. The widely application of label and fast growth of variety result in rapid development of label printing. There’re four traditional printing technologies: relief printing, offset printing, flexography printing and screen printing.

Offset printing is a widely used technology. Offset printing is fast, accurate and clear. But offset printing has lower durability and thin ink, which is not suitable for colorful printing.

Relief printing has high definition, accuracy and printing speed. Label printed by relief printing has strong color and excellent durability. Most labels are made by relief printing.

Screen printing has thick color and high degree of coverage. But it’s less accurate and time costing.

The character of flexography printing is moderate. But the workers who use flexography printing technology should be highly experienced. Because the process of flexography printing is complicated.
